Sassy Romper... my first ever atelierniSHASHA doll outfit + a free tutorial

Hey guys, it's almost weekend once again. And before I bury myself into mountains of sewing deliverables tomorrow, let me tip you on something nice coming up this week.

My Etsy shop, atelierniSHASHA, started out in September 2011 selling one of the first, original bestsellers - the Sassy Romper. While I was planning my first set of items to list in the store, I was looking at my  beautiful fabrics and asked myself, what if we give our fashion dolls some off-duty looks for a change? Clothes that are fun to wear but still keeping that stylish girl vibe? And I thought my printed cotton fabrics just might be the answer to this question!

I then designed a simple but fun romper, made of relaxing cotton fabrics with fun floral and fruity prints to bring out the quirky side of our fashion dolls. And the rest is history.

And now, I wanted to share this humble story of my tiny shop and the magical journey since the first day I started sewing the 1:6 way. In the next few days, I will be posting a tutorial on how to make your own Sassy Romper. This is my way of reminiscing the beautiful experiences of creating such adorable pieces that I myself wanted to keep :)

I hope you will like this tutorial and if you are excited to make one for your own dolls, you may start with the recommended materials I will list for you below.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS
Fabric - preferably cotton, half a yard can already make a bunch
Thread - that matches your fabric
Needle or Sewing machine
Elastic band or thin ribbon for tying romper to a snug fit
Measuring tape, scissors, pen and paper

Again, thanks for all the support and I will probably never be able to continue this for the many years to come without you guys :)

huggies,
shasha
